    Question Kimber and +P ?

I have my 1911 4" I carry all the time everywhere.

I just got a box of Hornady +P 200Grain HP.

I guess my question would be, in the event that I have to fire these rounds would my gun sustain any amount of damage to any of the parts that after firing I want to consider replacing?

    Thanks

I've been told by Kimber that it is fine to use +P for OCCASIONAL practice and for carrying, but that it's not a good idea to use them on regular basis for practice. They also mentioned that depending on how many you use, you may want to change the recoil spring a little more often.

My defensive rounds I carry are the same Hornady 200g XTP +P's... I have no issues with them, even with the aluminum frame on my Kimber.
