    Stopping power 38 spl +p 158 lswchp

    If M.A. was comparing it to 230gr ball ammo, he is probably right, based on the information below.

    Stopping power 38 spl +p 158 lswchp 4" revolver.

    Federal LHP 401 shootings, 305 one shot stops, = 76%
    Remington LHP 173 shootings 119 one shot stops = 69%

    same load in 2" revolver

    Federal LHP 160 shootings, 107 one shot stops = 67%
    Winchester LHP 145 shootings, 97 one shot stops = 67%
    Remington LHP 111 shootings, 74 one shot stops = 65%

    45acp 230 fmj full size 1911

    Federal FMJ 215 shootings, 134 one shot stops = 62%
    Winchester FMJ 209 shootings, 130 one shot stops = 62%
    Remington FMJ 151 shootings, 94 one shot stops = 62%

    Same in 4" barrel or less

    Federal FMJ 15 shootings, 9 one shot stops = 60%
    Winchester FMJ 34 shootings, 20 one shot stops = 59%
    Remington FMJ 14 shootings, 8 one shot stops = 57%
