Bass Pro will HOLD AMMO FOR YOU!
I thought it had to be a dream, but I went to Bass Pro yesterday morning and lo and behold, they had a decent stock of ammo. Sort of. By that, I mean they had stuff other than shotgun ammo. I got the last 2 boxes of 9mm, but when I asked them about when they'd get more, along with 223 and 5.7 x 28, they said it was coming in, but they couldn't be sure when.
BUT -- and here's why they have a lifelong customer in me now -- they said if I call when they open at 9am, they will know if they had any stocked overnight and WILL HOLD BOXES OF AMMO FOR ME AT THE COUNTER so that I can speed over there in about 20 minutes and pick it up!
You gotta love a store that will do that for you!

WOW, great customer service.
Wish I had a BPS close by. I'm in need of ammo, and hard-to-find crankbaits, spinnerbaits, a new hummingbird depth sounder w/ GPS.......................

Hmmm the drummer in my band lives like 5 minutes from Concord Mills. I go up there but never have time to hit the Bass Pro shop there.
I think Ill have him checking for me now.
I managed to pick up 100 rounds of 00 Buck this morning as well as some 38 spcl and .357 mag from the local shop in my little town. Prices were decent.

AllAmerican, that store in Cornelius, Lake Norman Sporting Arms, has almost everything in stock. They're limiting it to 2 boxes per customer though, but their prices are half that of Hyatt. Hyatt has everything in stock for sure, but at roughly twice what I'm told are "normal" prices. I believe they are limiting to 1/2 a case of ammo, though. Priorities, I guess ;)

Ive never been to Hyatts but I know my wife wont let me go there without her. She works in Monroe and all the guys she works with told her not to let me go there alone.
Im sure we'll go there one day together though. She digs guns too, just not as much as she loves horses.

Yep.
The guys at Bass Pro have put cases back for me.
All you have to do is give them your name and number.
Sometimes on a clear day, I can see into the future with this spotting scope.

I was at the Concord Mill BPS on a primer run and of course none to be found. The customer service lady not only walked me to the primer section, but also offer to hold some for me also when they get some in. I stay an hour away from BPS its not often travel down to Charlotte and Concord. BPS customer service is excellent. They also have a good stock of pistols and long guns.

I found ammo all over on Friday. I bought some from WW in Mooresville, the Pawn shop in Mooresville has a ton (expensive though) the 2 places already listed have it and so does Gander Mt (Who incidently had the best posted prices on revolvers).
I would love to buy more from Lake Norman Sporting Arms as I like the shop but his prices are NUTS! $600 for a 642 and Gander had a 640 for the same price and their 642's were $499.
I miss the shop in Ohio, they are still listing 642's for 419.
