Just left my local WW, and they actually had 2 boxes of .45 target rounds.
Today they implemented a 6 box limit per customer per day on any rifle or handgun ammo.
Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been gone. (which is now the case)

I've heard a few Wal Marts around here having the same policy. If you can even find ammo on the shelf. Most stores have been cleaned out for months. If they even get some in stock it is gone in minutes.

Yep. I seen the sign just a few hours ago. So I bought 6 boxes of the federal bricks of 22 ammo. Since they never have it in stock.

My local WMs still don't have any ammo. If they do, it's 40S&W Blazer Brass occasionally. Still like to find some WWB 100ct 9mm at the old price of $19.48 per box.
I thought it was only a simple case of supply and demand but I have to wonder if there isn't more going on with this ammo thing. I'd love to talk to someone in ammo manufacturing. To know if they're cranking out as much as their capacity allows. If so then maybe it really is so many people building up a stock pile. If so, at some point it'll reach a saturation point and then the shelves should start to fill up to normal.
Still, I find it odd how long this is going on....![]()

I was in WM tonight and managed to clean em out of .40 and 38 special.
This was the Cheraw store and I got (2) boxes of Blazer Brass .40 and (1) box of Remington 38 special.
The lady at the counter said sahe was surprised it lasted that long since it came in the night before.

I have never seen the cabinets so bare of ammo in Wally World. Glad to say my stocks were already OK but had I been out to buy - I doubt the ''usual'' fodder such as most pistol ammo would have yielded much result!
Mind you - no probs if I'd wanted 7mm mag belted - a snip at about $35 for 20 count!

My WM had gotten in a pallet of ammo. My timing was perfect. I was able to observe the manager yelling at the clerk, instructing him to STOP holding the ammo for his buddies, and to STOP telling people there was "no ammo".
Sometimes on a clear day, I can see into the future with this spotting scope.
i got 10 or more wal marts within an hour drive from me. i am out on the road most days, so i stop by 90% of them weekly. they are allways out of ammo. first was pistol, now rifle and shotgun. last week i did find one box of 32 acp ammo at the wal mart 46 miles from the house. paid 19.99 for it. the only other ammo they had was some 300 win mag rifle ammo. look to be about three boxes of it.

how long has the ammo shortage been going on?

The Walmart in Fort Payne, Al had a box of Remington .45 and a box of WWB .45 this morning and she said she was expecting some .223 this week for the first time in months.
I picked up some .22 Mag because I'm pretty low and it's getting carried a lot more, but left the .45 because I figure someone probably needs it more than I do.
