    Got lucky at Wal-Mart!

I dropped by a Walmart in a neighboring community yesterday on my way back home to pick up a power strip/surge protector and after I bought it I thought, what the heck...I'll check out their ammo supply. I bought a Federal 550rd Value pack of 22lr ($13.86) and the last 2 boxes of Remington .223 45gr JHP for $12.47 each as they had no handgun ammo available. After paying for it, I got to talking to the clerk for a few minutes about the 6 box limit and stupidity of some of his customers and then he said that a truck was coming in that night with ammo on it. He barely got it out of his mouth when a coworker came around the corner with a load off of the truck. He cracked open a case of Remington 9mm 115 gr 100 rd value packs and said that he could sell me 3 of those since I had just bought 3 boxes. I said that would be great. As he was ringing me up, I realized that they were JHP value packs! So instead of about $16.00 a box they were $23.xx a box. Oh well I got 300 rounds of JHP to add to my ammo cache! Timing is everything!!

It was in Glasgow. The (fairly)new Supercenter at the intersection of KY 90 (Happy Valley RD) and the new By-Pass.

    Good Luck!

My Wal-Mart only had a box of 44 Mag here.

They had rifle ammo in various calibers... But only the one box of pistol.

My poor G22 is getting hungry... need some ammo soon....

Well, since I was posting on a ammo forum, I thought there would be no misunderstanding! However, after reading your quote, I had a good chuckle myself. But your implied intent is better left to forums of an entirely different matter than concealed carry...and I am sure that somebody out there has gotten lucky at Walmart in a far different way than I did last night!!!

I can't even find .22LR bulk these days, that's sad.

Your thread title was kind of provocative. "The wife and I were shopping and one then led to another. We're not allowed in the Wal-Mart anymore."

The WalMart in Cheraw, SC this morning had 15 boxes of 100ct WWB 9mm and 10 boxes 100ct 39 spcl. I think they had 2 boxes of 100ct .45

I was shocked and didnt buy any of it. Bass Pro Shop in Concord, NC had some 250 round bulk packs of 9mm and .40. Nothing else as far as hand guns though.
