Double Tap .40 S&W 200gr Controlled Exp. JHP

How many of you use this round? What do you think? Does it have a 200gr. Gold Dot bullet (like I've heard)? The stats look impressive.

    Ballistics : 200gr. @ 1050fps / 490 ft/lbs- Glock 23 (4.0"bbl)

And they're cheaper than the Speer Gold Dot I just bought from ATG.

Better yet, anyone done any tests?

    Thanks,

PS - I just looked at Speer's website and their stats for Gold Dot and the 180gr has a MV of 1025fps and ME of 420fp. Sounds like Double Tap loads their rounds hot. Although they don't mention +P.

The controlled expansion rounds use XTP bullets. The Bonded are GDHP.

Ahh... I see, thanks. They (bonded 180gr) still seem like they're loaded hot. Any worries on that? Is that SOP for Double Tap?

Can anybody tell me more about any of the Double Tap SD ammo? I'm leary of any .40 ammo that's hot or +P in my Glock.

I've never had any problems in my XD9SC or 1911. No experience with the .40 unfortunately. I recall seeing some reviews when I googled Doubletap some time ago. Give that a shot.
