I use it. Good stuff. The orders are flowing pretty slowly right now, but the loads pop pretty hard. I always get the Gold Dot variant, called the Bonded Defense. The Controlled Expansion is an XTP bullet, I believe.

I use the DoubleTap JHP 124gr +P 9mm in my carry guns. I find it exceptionally accurate and reliable, particularly in my CZ P-01. Assuming it is reliable in your specific gun, I highly recommend it.

Here is a review I did of the DoubleTap JHP 124gr +P compared to the Federal HydraShok Tactical JHP 124gr +P+, awhile back: click.

I have some of their 9mm 124 gr +p as well as several different weights of their .45 acp. All good stuff, always feeds great and is very accurate. I have my RIA Tactical loaded with DT and wouldn't hesitate to use it in my XD9SC when I run low on HSTs.

That was a great review and very helpful. Thank you. I am very familiar with Federal HydraShok, so the comparison to those was extremely useful. What do you think about using DT in the form of .357 SIG, considering your experience with stronger flip?

I use his .38 +P 125 Gold Dot load in my Airweight J Frame. One of the most accurate loads for me in that revolver. I found the .45 loads a little to hot for me personally but others like them. Considering trying his 5.56 loads if I can get some!

I tried a few boxes of their 10mm when they got started a few years ago. He had trouble with 10mm pressures in the beginning but seems to have gotten them worked out. Very expensive for my taste.

I use their .380 and 9mm loads - accurate and very hard hitting.

That is an interesting site and ammo.
I've used Hornaday double tap as many here have; but, had not heard of this brand before.

+1. The DT 124gr +P 9mm is the only thing I use in my carry and SD handguns as well.

I find it exceptionally accurate and reliable, particularly in my CZ P-01. Assuming it is reliable in your specific gun, I highly recommend it.
+1 for my carry HK P2000SK; have also found the same w/my Sig P239 and 92FS.

The 124gr +P seems like a good compromise between weight and velocity.

Personally, I feel the DT 124gr +P is a perfect choice for short barreled carry guns since the extra performance in the ammunition offsets the performance loss with the shorter barrel.

For my Glock 20 I purchased some range ammo. (I believe their milder 165 grain).

I plan on purchasing some of their hotter 135 grain ammo when I have a chance. (currently using Win 175 grain silvertips).
