My gun does not like the 147 heavy bullets. Shoot the ones that are the most reliable in your gun. My gun likes Lawman 115 ball and is 100 % reliable with that. If your gun shoots anything reliably just pick one. I like 124 or 147 JHP but if you gun is a picky as mine is, you need to test different rounds.

I use Hornady Critical Defense 115gr. My PF9 eats it up and asks for seconds. Here's a little info on it.

Mine would function perfectly with 115gr, 124gr and 124+P fmj or hollow points. The gun didnt seem to feed the 147 gr very well. I carried Speer Gold Dot 124+P and Federal HST124gr+P for defense. You should try different types of ammunition to be sure what is reliable in your particular gun.

In my experience, the PF-9 does not like anything 147gr or heavier. With 124gr it can be finicky. Seems 115gr is the best option as far as reliability goes.

Fortunately, both of mine like 124+p Gold Dot. 124 Golden Saber & WWB 115jhp work fine too. The GD clocks 1120fps out of them.
