This past Friday (5-15-09) I hit 2 different Wal-Marts and got 4 boxes of JHPs for a 45 and 2 boxes of 40 Blazer Brass. The ones here have posted a 6 box limit with a 2 box limit per caliber.

I paid $31 per 100 count box of WWB .380 at WW last week. I bought 2 boxes. I would have bought more but I was low on funds. I have about 2K rounds of 9mm and 1100 of .40 and 2k of .22 and only 200 rounds of .380

I can hit 8 WM stores in my weekly work rounds.
    - Find out when the truck delivers, call next morning.
-some stores never get any ammo, sporting goods guy not aggressive on ordering.
-Stores with ammo usually get it in every other week.
-Be persistent & don't be picky, BB shoots well in my M&P.
-Policy on limits differ, 6 boxes only per person any cal. to 6 boxes per cal. per person.
    -Don't support the price gougers!

While some ammo shoots cleaner than others, I have never found a brand that does not shoot and function well in my guns. The fact that it is "dirty" does not bother me as I clean my guns each time I fire them. Somehow I just expect to find crud in the gun after a couple or three hundred rounds. Whether it is a little or a lot it gets cleaned.

I reload, but if I shoot factory for practice I get the least expensive.

I find Blazer Brass OK, and if I needed ammo and that was on the shelf I would buy it. In fact I have about 300 rounds of .45 and about the same 9MM.

    Regards,
    Jerry

My Glock likes it fine, send me your "crap" Blazer ammo (9mm) and I will dispose of it for you.

I always swing by the sporting goods counter whenever I go by, and it's always been bare. They claim they never know what's on any given truck, so don't know when they'll get any more. Interestingly, they also have signs about the 'current high demand' and limiting customers to only 3 boxes of any one ammunition when it IS available.

Agree 100% For target ammo it doesn't matter if it's Fed FMJ, Rem UMC, Blazer.
It's all good, go with the best price.
My Wally Werld sells UMC 250 count for $67. They always have a case when i stop in.

I found a lone box of 9mm Blazer Brass hiding behind the #4 birdshot that I intended on purchasing in the first place... nine dollars! I just looked on gunbroker and saw how many idiots are reselling their six-box-limit walmart finds for 200-400% markup. I hate people. I really do! I find it obvious when you see all these new auctions going up for 300rds (six boxes) of Blazer Brass or Winchester, ugh. I will not pay $30/box for this crap knowing they came from walmart for less than 1/3 that price.

    little late posting

OK. this was two weeks ago. I have been out of town and away from the forum, I was on my honeymoon.
Anyways, I was off work two weeks ago Friday, to get things ready at teh hall for the reception, pick up tuxs etc. I stopped at my local walmart and could not believe, they had some 40 cal, 45 ACP and 38 SP in +P and standard pressure. They had 1 box of 100 +P and a box of 50 standard pressure so I bought the standard pressure. Left the +P for someone else.
Perhaps the ammo drought is over!
