Check out the Federal HST for carry ammo. Feeds great in my kimber (and in my kahr for 9mm) and the ballistics are darned impressive. There are numerous threads, some with pictures, about this ammo.

For my 3.5" Para, I've switched over to the CorBon 185 gr DPX - I was very impressed with how it performed in our tests. But the stuff is almost $2.50 a pop!
Honestly, I think most of the premium defensive ammo is all pretty good these days - just make sure whatever you get will feed reliably through your particular gun.

I've had no problems getting the Federal 230gr HST's to feed in my guns.

Bingo! Gold Dot, HST, Talon, Golden Saber, DPX.....all are excellent rounds. Buy w/e you can find and see if it feeds reliably in your weapon.Originally Posted by Jim Downey

I currently carry Hydrashok, but I am switching to HST in my Kimbers once my ammunition order arrives.

Remington Golden Saber 230 gr...if they're good enough for our local PD...they're good enough for me. Very reliable in my XD .45 Compact.

I use the HST's in both my .45 and the wife's 9mm and have been very pleased with accuracy/reliability. In all honesty, I've used many of the other brands listed and exerienced the same thing.
At this point in the ammo treasure hunt, grab whatever hollow-points you can find and be thankful you found them.
