hey guys thismorning i picked up a colt 1991A1 from a yardsale. along with the gun was agalco sob holster and 6 mags. only the gun is chamberd for 400 corbon .anybody have info. about this cal.
A quick look indicates it was trying to do what the .357 sig did for the .40.
A .45 case necked down to a .40 cal bullet. I hope your a reloader, or can get a different barrel for the thing.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

It's basically a .45 necked down to a .40 caliber. The idea is to make it easy to convert a .45 to a .40 caliber cartridge with performance similar to a 10mm. For a lot of guns all it takes is a barrel swap. It never really caught on.
You may have trouble finding factory ammo. If you handload, you can make .400 Cor-Bon cases out of .45 brass. If you don't want to mess around with such an oddball caliber, it probably wouldn't be hard to convert the gun to .45.
i have 45acp barrels. just curious about the caliber.
Swap the barrel if you want standard .45ACP.
