Cabelas also has no problem extending their backorder estimates. My last order was supposed to be three weeks backordered, got it two months later. My advice would be to find a way to make regular trips to your local Wally World trolling for fresh ammo shipments. Mornings are best.

They are suffering from the same problems as the rest of us. If you want your ammo NOW, you are either out of luck or going to pay a stiff premium. Cabela's is doing the best they can. but they can't do miracles.

The CTD store near my house ALWAYS has ammo...even for 380. BUT you are going to PAY for that availability.

Agreed, I stop by there occasionally, and they always seem to have plenty of ammo in stock... but they want a king's ransom for it. I only buy there as a last resort.Originally Posted by Frogbones

They just extended my order for 9mm until July 15, I ordered about 2 months ago.

Looks like I'm in good company. Would buy from Midway occasionally until they flat quit having any ammo I wanted in stock. At least they didn't do the perpetual "re-estimate" on backorder shipping dates.
I ordered several boxes of S&B 357 SIG 140 gr FMJ and some Hornady 110 gr TAP 308 from Cabela's back on May 5th with original arrival at Cabela dates of 5/10 to 5/15 respectively. As of their email yesterday (the 5th change of arrival date email BTW), those dates are now 6/13 and 7/10. I'm just hoping for delivery by Christmas.
