Walmart bashing again!
This morning at 0630 i went toWM to pick up more 9mm ammo, they have been stocking most pistol ammo for a few months now and I have been buying my 6 box limit every 2 weeks (payday).
Today a very old (55ish) clerk told me "nope,no 9mm in stock." I was looking right at 6 to 8 boxes of 9mm!Then he says "I dont know why anyone needs all those bullets anyway." I bit my tongue as best as I could, and asked why,at his advanced years was he still a stockboy, and went to find the manager,SHE tells me it is a moot point they dont sell ammo before 0700???
Have any of yall run into this before?

Yes, that is a regulation at our local Wal-marts. No ammo sales before at 7 A.M.

Unless there is a local ordinance, I don't know why we wouldn't sell it all day and all night long...
Likely, they just do not trust their folks to do the ID thing, when appropriate.

Wow, never heard of such a thing. Of course I've never tried to buy any ammo before then either. I'll have to try it next friday on payday.

So, there are 6-8 boxes of 9 mm in the case and the guy tells you they don't have any?
Why didnt he just say "we've got some, but can't sell it to you until 7:00"?

What an amazingly well thought out response...
Again, check local ordinances. I KNOW some places do this for liquor. Maybe a few do it for other things too.

They probably figure that these gun nuts buy ammo, then head directly to the beer isle...drink immediatly, and then begin shooting up their store.
Can't be too careful you know!

You should have told him that the 'voices' said that you had to buy ammo NOW!

I have purchased at WM during all hours of the night. I have however had a WM employee lie to me about there being ammo available. I called and asked about the availability and was told there was none...had to go get some staples for the home anyway...got there to 12 to 24 boxes of 9mm....
