I really doubt it will penetrate in the true meaning of the word. Several years ago I shot some cinder blocks in my backyard with a .41 Magnum. The blocks cracked and broke into several pieces, but it didn't have the effect you'd expect.
I doubt the 9mm would do any better.

I was thinking at about 15-30 ft. The size of an average bedroom. A bit closer then displayed in the pics already posted.

Short answer, one bullet, little penetration, some weakening of the surface structure. Multiple bullets, continued weakening until the structure fails.

I know it won't penetrate a cinder block at 20 feet; It will break the front side it strikes, but then the rest of the block will stop the slug.....
Even a .44 mag had problems blowing up a cinder block. We finally got it to sort of work when we went to a 300 grain hard cast solid slug. All of the HPs we tried didn't get the job done.

Because a left block or right block wouldn't do.
Sorry, the word is cinderblock, and it's a common building material used in the construction of foundations and building walls.

No... No shooting in the basement. I wish I had a basement. My house is made of block and was just wondering what collateral damage could happen if there was a self deffense shooting.Don't tell me you're going to shoot in your basement...or something like that!
