Just did a trade for some 240gr JHP .44 Mag Fusion ammo made by Federal. Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

My wife and I shot 6 rounds of 25-06 Fusion ammo last week.

It's a hunting ammo; may give a bit more penetration than you really want for bipedal defense applications...
Beyond that, I've fired their rifle ammo, and thought it was pretty decent stuff.

I was looking for a "walking around the woods" ammo. Hopefully this will suffice.

Well...
If this is connected to your earlier post about mountain walking...I would not recommend it for a bear defense load.
However, if there's no bear to worry about...it'll do just dandy.

I have fond memories of the rim.
That is bear country, and even lions in some parts. Upper Eagle Creek and the Blue River are great areas. It's too bad it's only a memory now.
