How to get a case of ammo at Wally World

Since this has happened twice in the last 30 days, I figure -- well, I HOPE it's not a fluke, and thought I'd pass it along to y'all.

When you go to Wally World and the ammo shelves are bare, ask the guy at the counter if they have any _____ <-- insert caliber here. (I'll use 9mm for illustration.)

when s/he says no, ask if they know if any is coming in on the truck.

When s/he says "no, we were supposed to have some already in, but as you can see, it's not." Ask if you can offer one of the stock boys $20 to go see if it's in the back. They won't let you offer the stock boys money, so they will say something like "I'll go check for you."

USUALLY, THERE IS A CASE IN THE BACK THAT NOBODY HAS PUT OUT FOR SOME REASON!

So you get a 5 or 6 box limit, per customer, PER TRANSACTION.

Buy the 5 boxes. Walk literally up the next aisle and back around to the counter, and you can buy the other 5 boxes.

I know, I'm a witch for snagging the ammo, but I scored 2 cases like this (at 2 different wally worlds) in the last 30 days.

And no, I don't horde. I share with friends for the same price I paid, which is $20 for a 100-count box of the Winchester 115 gr target 9mm ammo. (White box) That should cut down the witch factor a bit, right?

    Happy hunting!
Don't frisk me, I am the weapon.

I hate to say this Bunny, but you may see some advantages that they don't give to 1/2 of the population...

I'm not sayin...I'm just sayin. Thanks for the advice, we'll see if they'll let a guy go for it too!

I'll remember that the next time I have a couple hundred bucks to drop on ammo.

I'm with pcon on this one
"Run for your life from the man who tells you that money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter. So long as men live together on earth and need means to deal with one another-their only substitute, if they abandon money, is the muzzle of a gun."

if you can find someone to ask in my local Wmart, everyone is so rude.

Grats finding ammo, and a helpful employee willing to go above and beyond, and even more so for sharing!
I could def. use 1-200 rds. of 9mm range ammo, definitely at the WM price.

    What he said!

I probably couldn't even entice the wicked witch receipt checker door nazi to go look for something with my repulsive features.

Congrats Bunny and good of you for sharing!

As a 76 year old man I sure as heck don't look as good as Bunny, but I have found that being nice can do some great things. I have scored on ammo at the two local WMs.
Its a shame that youth is wasted on the young.
