    PMC Green Frangible Ammo??

Has anybody ever used this? I'm thinking it would be the best for me to use in my apartment if I would ever have to.

No experience at all but, on one hand I like the idea of frangibles indoors (the ''theory") but as to whether the rounds are still adequately effective is something I have yet to find out.

I've used nothing but PMC Greens in my Beretta 92FS for the last year or so. I have had no difficulties, no change in cleaning requirements, and an enhanced sense of comfort re: ricochets and over-penetration.

The proof is in the pudding, of course, but I have seen no reason to be worried that they won't do what I need them to do.

How much per box is the PMC Green?
I see that other frangibles like Federal Ballisticlean can run $25-$35.
I've wanted to try some sort of frangible at the indoor range, which is Lead and Frangible Only, due to the backstop & splash back.

Isn't this stuff for pratice? I mean, their motto is "As you train, so shall you fight" and this quote
This frangible ammunition is designed and manufactured by John Mullins to fill the need for CQB training ammunition without risking the health and welfare of the trainee.

Frangible ammunition is used for training by some depts that fire at hard targets at close ranges but they have also been used in the nuclear industry so that vital equipment does not become damaged. In the past these rounds were referred to as DFAs (made by Delta Frangible Ammunition since 1992).

It's actually "lead free" ammo designed for training purposes not defensive and is required by many of the school such as Thunder Ranch for environmental purposes. If I was worried about overpenetration, I'd go with something like MagSafe or Glaser Safety Slugs.

    Try this

    Try this place:

test #4 tested frangibles and the Glaser. test #25 was frangible shotgun rounds (door breaching). More penetration than you might think. IIRC there were tests on frangibles in one of the Marshall and Sanow books. Regardless of what you think of their methods and conclusions, lots of good info there. I seem to remember they didn't fragment much in bare Ballistic Gel. If it was me, I'd test it in or on whatever I thought I might shoot. Not hard to make your own tests, and shooting stuff is educational fun.

the glasser safety round makes a huge wound, and at one time was told everyone ever shot with them died!!!!!!!!! shock, and loss of blood........... carried them when i was with the marshals. not sky marshals,,,,,,,,,,,, the real ones . let the games begin.
