Anyone used this ammo/heard any reviews?

    40 S&W 115gr Glaser | CORŽBON/Glaser Self Defense | Dakota Ammo

I will moving into an apartment complex soon and was looking for a good round that wont go through my wall into the neighbors apartment.

I am sure SOMEONE will post this, so I will just get it out of the way...yes, I will always aim properly. Sometimes you just can't control what happens when firing on a live target. Trust me, I know.
Just remember: When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Penetrates walls great; penetrates humans poorly. Oh wait--isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Stick with some good quality HP ammo Devil Dog. And try to clear your geometry of fires as best you can.

Glaser Safety Slugs were designed to reduce the risk of over-penetration (through the target), and to reduce the risk of ricochet off hard surfaces. Unless your fire code requires a firewall between units (e.g., cinderblock separating wall), the Glaser Safety Slug won't really do what you want it to do. Within its design, it definitely does what it was designed to do. Hit the person you are aiming at, and it doesn't overpenetrate. Hit a brick wall, and it disintegrates. Hit a softer surface, like sheetrock or wallboard, and it's likely to penetrate.

I would recommend a round with a proven track record, i.e. Remington Gold Sabers and Federal +p+ loads. I wouldnt trust my life to gimmick ammo.

Hey bro, I had a similar thread running regarding 9mm ammo(Corbon Pow'R Ball 100gr). Its also designed to not over-penetrate. I actually think these rounds may be made by the same company. Well, I got a lot of replies advising me to pass on these ammo. Those who didnt advise me to do so, said thats what they decided to do.

Ask yourself a few questions when u consider chosing your gun/ammo. Will it save your life? Is it reliable/proven? How will it function in my firearm? Can you shoot accurately with it? Altho the issue is relevant, you should be less concerned about will it go through the walls. If the bad guy does not go down, because the round does not penetrate deep enuff you may lose your life. Your neighbors on the other hand may be safe and continue living their lives.

My concern was more that I did not want the bullet to exit the bad guy and hurt someone behind him. But when its all said and done, just make sure you choose a reliable round of ammo brother. We cant always plan for all the possibilities that come along with discharging our firearms, but if you take out the attacker with reliable ammo you can at least plan to live.

The sales guys seemed the give the COR@BON/Glaser SD ammo rave reviews, but maybe they just wanted to sell the brand that costs the most. Good luck making your decision.

Any ammo that is going to stop a bad guy, is going to go through at least one sheet rock wall. However some ammo may not penetrate two sheet rock walls. Examples would be the .223, birdshot in a shotgun and some frangible handgun rounds.

What do the Air Marshalls use ? They sure don't want over-penetration on an airplane.
