I have been very impressed with some of the BB numbers out of the .380. I decided to give it a try out of my Taurus TCP. I called Taurus and got a run around type of answer on whether the gun was built to handle these loads. I understand why they couldnt give me straight answer bc technically there isn't a +P .380.
Anyway, after shooting 20 rounds of 90gr JHP I am NOT going to use this any longer. I do not think it is a good idea to shoot these high pressure loads in many of the small .380s such as the TCP, LCP, P3at etc...
The rounds fed flawlessly and were very accurate. I think these are actually really good rounds as far as performance. BUT they produce a significant amount of snap. It was much harder to stay on target because of the snappy recoil. I am much more accurate on multiple rounds with standard defense rounds. Pair that with the abuse of the excess pressure and I quickly decided they are not for me.
I just bought some Gold Dots and will be looking forward to trying them.
