I've shot some Herter's .380 in a Ruger LCP. Had a few jams with it, not many but enough to notice. Now using PMC ammo with no issues. The Herter's was pretty hot stuff, kicked very hard. On the dirty side as some people have said.

In Herter's .380, there are two flavors, steel cased made in Russia, and brass cased made in Indonesia. I was using the steel cased from Russia.

I picked up some Herter's .380 in kansas City at Cabelas for $12.99 per box. I only got 4 boxes and I'm not thrilled but box #1 worked out fine at the range last week. Dirty? Yep. Cheap? Yep. Availalble? Yep. Is it my first choice? Nope.

I just picked up 8 boxes of 9mm for $8.99 a box/50 at Cabelas in Rogers, MN.

I'm sure it will work just fone for putting holes in paper.

    Good luck!

    Thumbs up Herter's Ammo

I have been shooting Herter's Select Grade and have since found out that the 357 Magnum ammo is manufactured in Ozark, MO. I have been shooting it in my 1894C Marlin and had no problems to this point. Cheap and it shoots well in my rifle, no unusal deposits or cleaning problems. From a bench rest been shooting 3 to 4 inch groups at 50 yards with factory sights.

Stay with the Herter's Select Grade in the black box, they are made in Ozark, Missouri. The plant is owned by Fiocchi and the shells I have used to this point has been good and the price is right. I have only shot 100 rds to this point.
