    Books About Shotguns...

    Any recommendations?

I'm probably going to pick up the Suarez book: The Tactical Shotgun, any others I should be looking into?

Not so much all about the "Tactical" side of things, just want to increase my knowledge base on shotguns.

Not a book, but Magpul recently came out with their "Art of the Dynamic Shotgun" DVD.

A quick Amazon search for "Shotgun" came up with this: http://www.amazon.com/Shotgunning-Sc...2217133&sr=1-2
Called Shotgunning: The art and science, by Brister, I would think that sounds like a good place to start if you are just looking for a broad knowledge base. I haven't read it, but I did just add it to my Amazon wishlist.

I've been browsing Amazon as well, as for the DVDs, I think I'll pass on those, took me two weeks to finish up watching their pistol set and I'd rather have something to page through when it's convenient (IE when Speedloader is enthralled with Toy Story 3)

    Gotcha,

Bear in mind I haven't read any of there, but this one looks interesting: http://www.amazon.com/Mysteries-Shot...217649&sr=1-28

Mas Ayoob has at least one shotgun book out Stressfire II: Advanced Combat Shotgun, most of his stuff is well worth the time it takes to read it.

IMO....Patrick Sweeney books are good.........find some on EBay. IMO....books will last longer than the internet, and you can always read a book on the toilet where you don't want to take your laptop. LOL! Good books are a dime a dozen now ever since we got the internet. They still have their value though.

These are two excellent books that are intended for the wingshooter (which is why they're in my library), but since the primary purpose of a scattergun is to hit things that are moving, there's enough information that should be considered useful if not basic for defensive shotgunning. Both are out of print, but Amazon and Barnes & Noble both have good resources for used books.
