It depends on what you're looking for. His latest on concealed carry is 2008's The Gun Digest Book Of Concealed Carry. On a slightly different, but (IMO) relecant topic, Combat Shooting with Massad Ayoob is due out in Dec according to Amazon.

His annual magazine, The Complete Book of Handguns 2014, is on sale right now. For an actual book, see the earlier posts.

Do you really need a book to figure out how to carry?

It almost the same as the first. In the second edition he goes over gear and guns that did not exist when he wrote the first edition. I have read both and he goes over the different ways of carrying a handgun. It is a good book but if you have read the first edition you have read 85% of the second. If you are thinking about reading it go with the second edition because it is the most up to date.

There are indeed lots of subtle aspects and ramifications that escape many folks. Plus, Ayoob and others with his experience offer up quite a slice of wisdom as well. "Need" is perhaps too strong a word, for most; but, surely, more info and training doesn't hurt.

No more than you (anyone) need to be on a forum about such things...And a book might just make your box of holsters a little smaller... Return on investment.

His latest book is "Deadly Force, understanding your right to Self Defense", just out in late 2014. It is on most internet book sites.

I just finished reading the latest, Deadly Force, and have to say it was a great read. It's mostly about the legal ramifications of self-defense shootings but it's important stuff. It details why the belief that 'A good shoot is a good shoot' is naive. Even clean shoots can wind you up in court. Crazy stuff.
