The Seven Myths of Gun Control
This book was written by Richard Poe. He covers seven different areas that anti-gun politicians and activists use in their attempts to restrict our right to possess and use guns for self-defense. Those seven areas are:
1) Guns Increase Violence,
2) Pulling a Gun on a Criminal Endanders You More Than the Criminal, 3) Guns Pose a Special Threat to Children,
4) The Second Ammendment Applies Only to Militiamen,
5) The Second Amendment is an Obsolete Relic of the Frontier Era, 6) We Should Treat Guns the Same Way We Treat Cars and
7) Reasonable Gun-Control Measures Are No Threat to Law-Abiding Gun Owners.
There is also a section at the end on the death of manhood in America.
This book is easy to read and written in a simple straight forward style. In my opinion it doesn't really cover much new ground but is a good reminder of what is at stake and the dishonest and anti-American (at least as I understand it) agenda of the anti-gunners. He spends a good bit of time listing the socialist, radical feminist and other -ists origins of their agenda and how at it's roots it is against those things America stands for. One of his main themes is that the anti-gun movement is basically (fundamentally) anti-male and anti-aggression in any form. He makes this point very well IMO.
When I read the book the only thing new that I took away was that the theory that the 2A intended a collective right only for the militia really makes no sense. If the right to arms is only intended for the militia then it makes no sense to list it since the militia as a fighting force for presevation of the peace and our nation would always be authorized arms to carry out their duties. It makes no sense to have a militia without arms so if that was the ONLY reason why it's there then it would naturally be unnecessary. I'd never thought of it that way before.
Basically, if you want an easy to read reminder of why this is an important issue (he spends a good bit of time on what happens after the anti's have their way), the lies and deceipt of folks like Senator Clinton and the HCI crowd and how we can't stop fighting against the lies and propaganda of the Left this is a book you will enjoy.

I read this book a couple of years ago. Makes excellent conversation starters while waiting for a table at a restaurant. I also leave it on our coffee table in case friends of my wife visit.

I have two things to say.
1. Preception is 100% reality to most folks.
2. Everyone has an openion even those who are obviously wrong.
One should never confuse good fortune with good training.
