    Lone Star Lawmen

For you fellas down Lone Star State way, you might be interested in a new book about the history of the Texas Rangers.

It's called Lone Star Lawmen, The Second Century of the Texas Rangers, by Robert M. Utley.

It's an excellent read. I give it a 5 on Bud's rating scale.

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

    Rudyard Kipling
