Book Review: The Great New Orleans Gun Grab

I got it this afternoon, I am at page 61 and I am ticked off!

A review of the abuses of power by the NOLA authorities and their gun grabbing manners. So far what it struck me the most is the people in the stories told were put at risk of death by a local goverment bent on show who was the boss.

    Get it now!

Amazon has it. And it is supposed to be available at Borders, Barnes & Nobles, etc.

OK, I needed a break from the book. I will probably finish it tonight.
The book is 224 pages long and brings the hell that NOLA was after Katrina as close as you could be without being there. The stories of surviving the human factor which turned out to be nastier than the hurricane itself It makes for a compelling reading. You will find yourselves disgusted by LEOs that thought NOLA was a Third World country ripe for the taking and admire other LEOs who went out of their way to protect & serve. Also, you will find confort in the way the 82nd Airborne protected those who stayed behind and faced off not only the criminal element but even those drunk with their own power. Parraphrasing one chapter in the book, a soldier with the 82nd faced off a NOLA cop who wanted him to forcefully remove citizens and told him he had just came back from Iraq fighting terrorist and he was not going to fight his own people.
At last you will be proud of those who chose to stay & fight for their lives, neighborhoods and rights.
OK, enough for now, I gotta get back to the book.

    Seriously, get the book.

    Thanks, Miggy.

I hadn't heard of this book.

    I'm headin' to Borders tomorrow.
