Has anyone ordered any of the videos available from thunder ranch made by Clint Smith? If so, how long did they run, were they worth it? Anything else worth it along these lines?

Sorry about that, wanted to subscribe to the thread :)
Bought one of his Defensive Pistol videos. It was okay. I thought it was pretty basic and I really didn't learn anything exciting. Need to get some more advanced ones I guess. Anyone have any recommendations?
I ask about him especially because of his work on the last season of PD TV, where they have had some stuff, and like you was wanting some more advanced reading / viewing.
I like what Clint has to say... and yes, a lot of his stuff is basic. But, you can get a lot out of his basic teachings and build from there.
I have his new Defensive Revolver dvd, it's 2 discs a 38 minute lecture and a 65 minute disc. I was dissapointed in the material it was well produced but VERY, VERY basic. I couldn't recommend it.
Well thanks gang, I am glad I ran this across the boards before spending quite a bit of money. I really like the little bit of stuff I see him doing on PDTV, but dont want to spend money on something that isn't going to do much for someone like myself already familiar with firearms.
what kind of things did he cover in the lecture?
Clint is an old-school instructor, and doesn't have much to offer lately.
He is old school, but I think he is smart enough to keep his videos and such very basic. If I made videos there is no way in hades I would show and teach very many "tricks" to gun fighting. No way. The man knows what he is doing.
Sorry, I didn't mean to infer "old school" is bad, (I'm old school and hanging in), I just meant the original styles are no longer popular with the new "operator" mindset.
Hey, I'm old and "Old School" too. I'm so old that I still refer to "bottomfeeders" as "Jamamatics".
Biker :urla9ub:
While we're on the topic of Clint Smith DVDs.. Has anyone seen Defensive Firearms? If so,

What did he say about the use of two guns at once as demonstrated on the cover? I thought this was a strange way of selling his DVD, as I got the impression that this practice belongs in Hong Kong action movies and video games.
I'm not sure what that is all about... probably just a photo to peak consumers interest. He is not a "hollywood" type like some others out there.
