I'm halfway through The Kite Runner. A good and well written story. I also saw the movie.

Also check out "The Concealed Hangun Manual" by Chris Bird.

On Killing and On Combat, by Lt Col Dave Grossman. I am about halfway through the first one (On Killing). Very interesting how much psychological stuff goes on with killing. It makes me want to live my life without having to take a life even more. But in order to live, hopefully I'd kill in a second. Can't tell until then.
+1 for The Concealed Hangun Manual by Chris Bird.
Gun control can be blamed in part for allowing 9/11 to happen.

What you have already selected are all great reads. There are many more available to chose from... so enjoy. You may also want to consider another self preservation book that will give you a lot of insight:

+1 to militarypower. I have ready On Killing and I am working my way through On Combat. I got to meet the Author a few months ago and speak with him for a short amount of time, because I went to his "Bullet Proof Mind" class. I found Grossman to be extremely for real and a very caring, Christian man. This man has my respect, and he has greatly influenced my thinking and Mindset.
P.S. I read through and own "Verbal Judo." I have to admit that I was disappointed by the book. I didn't think that it was very good. Just my opinion, it might have done a lot for somebody. I would like my verbal judo to be so good that when I talk, the guy starts choking and is lifted off the ground, like when Darth Vader speaks.![]()
From a training perspective, given the one's you listed, I think you'd get good stuff from Sharpening the Warrior's Edge (B. Siddle) and On Combat (Grossman).
