    Hi,

    Just an update, I received a pm. I have not received a copy, and I'm still interested.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Damn it, I missed it again? Been looking for a loaner for about a year, so if there is a list, please add me to it.
    Still, it's amazing how cheap we are when it comes to a paperback book.

    Well, at least a few copies are moving. I recently got word that my original copy had sustained some measure of postal damage, including water on pages. It's drying out and hopefully will get back into the mix once the reader has completed it.

    Copies of In The Gravest Extreme can generally be had for $10 or so. But not everyone wants to buy all the books out there in a try-by-buying type arrangement. For the price of book-rate delivery, someone can dip a toe and see what's what. Personally, I'm hoping that half (or more) of the people who read it will realize it's a keeper, one for the library. While some of Ayoob's references are dated at this point, most of his perceptions are right on the money.

    Thanks for keeping things moving, gang! And, be sure to keep this list updated, here, so that people know where the books are. When done reading, find someone on the most-recent list you can find and send the book along.

    Moving one copy along...

    O.K. just finished my copy from Kazz. So as far as I can tell here's an updated list (removing some recent, removal requests, and adding Scot4you):

    rhinokrk
    * glocker1926
    * nedrgr21
    * longrider
    * the rogue
    * dal1celt
    * faitmaker
    * ferris
    * skot
    - dec0y (no reply)
    * ron
    plop
    * first sgt (from JonInNY, sent ???)
    * a nicca
    teccles
    * jackle1886
    santa01
    whec716
    dsee11789
    datsun40146
    spwz99
    ccwinnc
    tn_mike
    lechwe
    saber
    Samson1
    * NTG (from Kazz, sent 13Oct2010)
    fishnnut
    wpage
    kc1911
    BugDude
    spar10
    edr9x23super
    Blackheart6
    b1780
    Eric45
    DMan (from teccles, sent Jul 2010)
    PatrickHenry
    Flatline74
    redfish443
    * Joeface (from Kazz, sent 13Oct2010)
    DaveJay
    * Gamisou (from Kazz, sent 13Oct2010)
    Scot4you

    I've sent a message to plop. If I don't hear from him soon I'll try another. If I get too many "non-responses" I'll do what Kazz did.

    By the way it's a great read, although it's age really shows in the discussion of available guns. The lessons taught are timeless, however, and worth the read.

    Ok...so I haven't heard from "plop" and I noticed that it appears that teccles read it so I marked the list accordingly. I'm now going to try santa01. If plop responds before santa01 I'll send it to plop. If this doesn't happen I'll probably just post a "first come first serve".

    I think we should clean up the list, removing those that have read it. Any objections?

    O.K...I want to get this book moving so the first person on the list that hasn't read it yet to send me a PM, with their address, will get it.

    Looks like the book's off to spar10! Thanks again to Kazz, and to ccw9mm for kicking this off a year plus ago.

    Thanks for keeping it rolling, gang. Glad to see all the copies are making the rounds. Enjoy ... then quickly pass it along to the next available person!

    I understand people not wanting to take the time and hassle to contact people on the list and get their shipping information, but what is the point in having the list if we are just going to put the books up for grabs to the fastest to reply?

    just my $.02

    Contacted the next 3 on the list and have not heard from any of them, hence the next PM from someone on the list will get it. Got to keep it moving.
