G 19 Carried inside the waist

Is this too large or thick to be concealed in hot weather wearing pull over shirt either tucked or untucked using a good holster such as Crossbread Super Tuck? Does this feel like you have a 2x4 stuck down your paints? Can you conceal it appropriately and live with it comfortably?

I have one on now, sitting at my desk, working from home... No I don't think it is an issue. I am looking for a PM9 now for pocket carry, but I am a comfortable with my g19.

    i use an M-tac

My son carries the .40 version in an MTAC IWB without problems.

Easy to wear my Glock 19, untucked shirt, IWB in a GOOD holster; I have a Mitch Rosen Clipper for easy on and off and an RM Low Rider IWB which is an awesome kydex rig. Also have a Rosen 5JR belt holster whick tucks it in nicely at about 4:00 O'clock. With a loose T-Shirt or untucked shirt, the Glock is a fine CCW piece for me.

The Block 19, with a good quality holster and belt, is easy for me to conceal. I have an MTAC right now, but will add either a Milt Sparks Watch Six or a Kramer IWB #3 to the mix at a later date.

It's about the size of a Hi Power, but nowhere near as refined.

    My slide measurements

Actually the Glock 19 is not as thick as it looks, if you actually measure the width of the slide from flat to flat. It measures just a hair over 1.00 inches in slide width. This compares to about 0.90 inches in width for a typical 1911 or 9mm Kahr. Several guns I have measured are noticeably thicker than the Glock 19, including the Sig P229 and the H&K USP 9mm compact.

So the Glock 19 is not bad worn inside the waistband.

I carried a G19 IWB for about 20 years in the Las Vegas area, winter and summer, with Temps running sometimes in the 115 degree area. A simple loose T shirt or a square bottom Short Sleeve shirt took care of a summer cover garment.

It was carried in a metal clip, roughout, soft Davis Leather IWB holster with reinforced top for easy reholstering, Model 455. I am currently using the same holster for my G23.

I haven't carried in the Summertime yet, but G19 IWB is very workable. I carry mine at 3:00 so that if I bend down to work on something, there's less chance it'll print.

It's not that big a gun, but thickness does make a difference. I wouldn't ever wear it with a thin t-shirt.

Absolutely doable...I carry a G23 in my HBE COM III on a regular basis with no problems at all.

    G23 + MTAC @ 4:30 = invisible

    Under a loose t-shirt, can't tell it's there.

I use a G19 as my everyday carry. With a heavy belt and hybrid IWB holster it is very comfortable and hides under a loose fitting T shirt.

I haven't CC'd with my Supertuck in the summer yet, but i would imagine it'll be tons easier to hide the G23 in that over the Blackhawk Serpa i was using last year. You should be fine with the 19 and i bet you'll be surprised how it disappears.

I'm carrying it under thin dress shirts tucked in worn at the 2 o'clock position.

    It's no biggie.
