    Smith and wesson 360PD

good morning peeps! well i did something that i hope is the right thing, as you guys all know i have the 442 and 438 for only a week or so right, so i went to one of the shop and they have this sw 360pd, the price tag was 870, nothing against the 38 special round i know it has enough power to stop a BG but I always like the 357mag caliber, IMHO i feel confident that 1 or 2 of 357mag rounds will definetly stop somebody . I know i probably lost maybe 50 to 70bucks on the trade but atleast I have what i wanted to be my permanent CCW piece, I will practice with 38 specials, maybe shoot a couple of 357mag just to feel the power, I will be loading it with the Hornandy critical defense 125gr every time i'm CCW it so anyway I know some of you will think I'm nuts but hey you only live once right,,,here it is..

Looks great, and sounds like you didn't take too bad a bite trading in. Gotta love that .357 and that nice big sight on top! I think somewhere in the manual it states about firing two or three rounds and checking to see if the other have become unseated. Others will know more specifically about what I'm talking about.

Look into gold dots short barrel .357's. The ballistic tables seem impressive when compare to a .38+P and I find then a tad more manageable than a full load .357. they seem to be underloaded .357's but out of that small of a barrel it doesnt matter, since with full load your not getting the full use of the .357 anyway.

Gold Dot snub nose rounds are excellent for these pistols (I have the 'hammerless' 340PH).

Shooting .357magnum out of a 12oz snubbie is not a pleasant experience. If you decide you want to stick with the magnum (personally, I load .38 +P's in mine), think about changing grips. It might sound strange, but the most shock absorbing grip I have found is the Crimson Trace - even if you don't want to use the laser the grip is very good.

As for holsters and reloads, the Pock-A-Roo offered in the banner on the homepage is my new favorite. And it comes with a nice 5 round speed strip.

Enjoy your new handgun - it's a good one!

I have the 340 M&P the 357 is a handful...be prepared. Definitely look in to the Short Barrel Gold Dots. Awesome round. Congrats it is very light and packable bu =t the 357 is a real fire breather.

Here it is again with new grips, I shot 80 rounds today and the 357mag loads does hurt a little bit but hey thats one of the reason i love 357 mags, I can feel the power right in my hands..

Very nice good for you. I use the CD ammo in all my carry guns.
