    Glock OEM Night Sights

Does anyone have any experence with the GLOCK OEM night sights? I'm getting ready to order a glock 17 and 26 from the factory, and I was just wondering if they were any good, or if I should just order them with regular sights and get some triijicons or XS systems. The factory price is $450 with OEM night sights and $390 with reg sights.

If you buy the night sites on the gun, they most likely will come to you as Meprolites....which have been nothing but money fo' me.

If you don't and decide to put them on yerself down the road, they are easy to install yerself...........

Heinie Specialty Products. Glock Slanpro Night sight set. Probably the best you can buy. About $100-$130.

I have the factory night sights on my G19. That's a great price for them.

I prefer the Tru Glo TFO sights which I have on my G26, but they would cost more to retrofit later.

If cost is an issue, get the factory ones. Otherwise, you can add them later if there is a specific model of night sights you want.

I have glocks with both the night sights and the regular sights. I prefer the night sights, not necessarily because they glow at night, but because they don't distract your eyes as much as the big U on the normal glock sights.

I have Glock night sights on all of my Glocks. As mentioned they are meprolights. I had trijicons on my Glocks in the past and they were good. However, I find the Glock nights sights are easier to pick up in a sight picture.

I would get the Glock night sights.

I have the trijicons @ $85. Sounds like the Glocks would be the way to go. A few bucks cheaper and does the same thing

Where Heinie is unlike all others is how the rear sight is manufactured with serrations to cut down on glare. I know some top ranked IDPA competitors that swear by them for all their pistols. I myself am not a top competition shooter and would probably just buy the Glock with Glock's optional night sights.

The Glock OEM night sights are good. About as much as you would expect them to be. When ordering your Glock pistol with NS installed, you'll save big time over aftermarket, or after-thought installation. Glock's night sights are contract, and they meet par with any of the other aftermarket companies for performance or duration in my opinion.
