Grand opening of the Cabela's in KC. Went into the gun library and walked out with a $3,000 1963 Browning Superposed Light Weight 20 Ga. It took two years to recover from that, but I still have it.

I went to GunWorld in LaGrange GA once for some trivial item, came home with a Merkel model 47E side by shotgun in a fitted case. oooops. I needed that shotgun like I need (another) hole in my head. And I have never shot it very well either. Still, the walnut is cosmic.

Has anyone found a better deal then $400 for an LCR? Buds has them for $398~ Ruger LCR 5 Shot 38 Spl for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $398.00

But other then that I am stumped. I want one of these guys bad, but $400 is a pretty penny for a 38.

Nice choice. I have heard nothing but great things about that little gun. I am probably going to "impulse buy" one as well. Just dont tell my wife.

I love my little LCR. I looked for a better solution to everyday carry as I wear overalls nearly all the time since I retired. The LCR fits in the front pocket of my bibs in a cheap pocket holster and it is light, small enough and ready. I have several other revolvers and I love this trigger. It will be especially appreciated as this Texas weather reaches summer. It fits in cargo shorts too.

Also it shoots well in my hand. At under7 yards, my groups are as good as with a semi auto and I have shot them for 55 years. It does not hurt to shoot with .38 or .38 + for me--but even better my 12 yo grand daughter loves to shoot it and out shoots her papa. She is 5'10 and 90 lbs. Gander has them in this weeks mail out priced at 549. I paid less than 400, sales tax and all several months ago at GT Distributors in Austin.

I took it to the range yesterday. It was my first time shooting a snubbie. Its a whole different animal when compared to my XDSC40. Overall I like it alot. The trigger is great and shoots great. Now I just need to practice with it!
