I love my XD sc9. I'll also add another +1 to getting the pearce Grip extension. made a hug difference in comfort and control. The 16rd mags with the factory grip X-Tensions are ok. On the SC the 13rounders + Pearce just work better for me.

I like the way the XDs (especially the XDM) feel compared to Glocks, and the XDSC9mm holds 13+1 in a flush fit mag, though it is taller than the G26 by .5"+ but 3 more rounds... hope you are able to find one of your own...
The XDm 40 4.5 Love it...
And next friday i'll have my bitone 40sc out of the shop and into my hands
IMO there both great guns ...I have the SC for summer cc and XDm for winter and summer, just like having options...
For the 9 round mag there is the pearce grip for it ...helps with grip also you can get a extra round in it with PG plus that just came out.
but i also brought a extra 12 round mag for either ccing or range time..
OH! dont for get to BUY and uplulaits a must...

Here's my CCW permit target with a 5" XD .45 Tactical:

50 rounds of remington green box.
And my first go round with the SAO Sig P220 I traded the XD in on(mind you is was freezing cold, and the headshot smiley didn't turn out quite like I wanted):

Roundabout 50 rounds of WWB.
I really really liked my XD, but I love my P220. It's effortlessly accurate (the XD I had was too). On the 220 target it was also around 24 degrees outside with windchill.
I have had my XD9SC since 2006. It has been nothing but reliable. I've never had any problems with it whatsoever and it has been shot a lot. It is easy to carry in a Crossbreed SuperTuck and a good belt. Get the Pearce grip extensions, they are worth the money!
I also have a XD45 4" Service model that is very nice! It fits in the same holster that the 9 does.
Can't go wrong with an XD!

I think the XDs are thicker and clunkier than even my Glock. But if you like it, get it. It's your gun and you should have what you want, regardless of others' opinions!
Compare local gun store + sales tax prices against internet + FFL fees and see what works best for your wallet.

I have several XDs with hundreds of rounds through them. EDC is a XD9SC.
