A Question for the Pro's
Hey Guy's and Gal's my houseing has changed this year.
I went from house to small apartment.
My carry Guns are Smith 442, Kel-Tec 380.and Tec.32.
My question being which gun should be the of choice inside the
apartment , the apartments are older units there are three units
in each buidling. block units I do have a super black hawk .44 but not
at apartment. My thoughts is should I worry about a round going
threw a block wall if I ever had to fire .The apartments are clean
and well kept but not in best part of town .I am really glad I got
my carry last year being that I have to walk pebbles the dog
on a leash now I never go on a walk with out a carry.
Thanks for any help
A round that's not in a chamber has very little velocity when it ignites. Don't worry about it.
Frankly, I see no problem here. If you hit the intended target with the proper ammo. And I see no problem with the 442 (I have one) and the LCP (also .380) The 442 has LWC and the LCP has Hornady's FTX stuff. The bullet should be absorbed by the attacker with little, if any chance of exiting the individual.
I think I am understanding your question correctly...
I think you'd be okay, with any of those choices. None are over powering rounds. You might want to go with a standard power .38, to keep penetration down. I doubt a .380 FMJ load would go through a block either. I wouldn't even worry about the penetration of the .32.
If you have a 12ga. shotgun #4 buck might the best choice of all....
I'd say yes. Whenever you live in a multi dwelling structure, you should always be concerned about firing a round into a neighbors apartment.
I would think a hollow point 38 +P should be fine.
