Want to get another pistol prefer 9mm. I have a Kahr P380 for concealled carry. This would be for home or truck carry. I have been looking at Glock 19, SA-XD, and consider a Sig. Main concern is reasonable size, must be reliable with all kinds of ammo, and fairly lightweight. Any body have an opinion. Thanks for your input.

Glock 19 ...hands down...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Gottta agree with the G19. Ultra reliable with any ammo. Can't get any simplier--pull trigger - Bang! (Again and again!)

Of what you're looking at, I go with the Glock-19...

I kind of want to say go with the XD just to not follow the pack but...Glock 19 would be my choice.

Wow all Glock 19s. I have heard they are ultra reliable so thats why I have it on the list. I have never fired one but did get to handle one at the gun store today. The grip seems pretty big and I actually like the grip size of the XD better. Anymore opinions?

When you say the grip seems pretty big do you mean length or width?

Go with the glock 19. I have the G22 and the G23 and love both of them. Cant go wrong with a glock.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

Everything you've said points to a Glock 19.

I don't have long fingers to wrap around the grip so I guess you would call that the width. Probably just use to the smaller grips of my GP100 and P380.

I am quite possibly wrong here as I cant find the exact measurement on the XD's width but I think the XD is actually thicker then the glock. the glock is 1.18 and I think the XD is 1.25. I wouldnt stake my life on that though until I can find a offical measurement from SA.

Glock 19. I went with one based on the stellar reviews all over the net and it exceeds all my expectations.

Glock 19 is a solid choice. You should definitely check out the RTF2. It's hands down the best grip surface I've ever felt on a handgun.
