    Another interesting fact, when comparing these two:

    G23 empty weight: 21.16 oz
    XD sc empty weight: 26 oz

    It's crazy. This is the difference between a compact Glock and a subcompact XD:

    Length difference: Glock is .6" longer
    Height difference: Glock is .25" taller
    Weight difference: XD is 4.84 oz heavier

    Ammo capacity goes to the Glock... They are so similar, yet so different.

    There is less plastic in the XD and that adds weight. I will take the metal trigger, guide rod, and slide rails for the extra ounces.

    I have read recently that the metal trigger is going to be a thing of the past on XD's.
    I read the XDm and XD .45's all have plastic triggers as of last year.
