    Eye and ear protection at the range is a good habit to get into, and any instructor worth more than two nickels supports it by being a good example; especially in a video.

    Only a few .45 cans are "hearing" safe., its a lot harder to suppress a .45 due to its big hole.. The 9mm cans are hearing safe meaning peak db is below 140 db. Most good new 9mm cans average mid to low 130's, the best .45 cans dry are getting high 130's and shooting wet can = that of a dry 9mm.
