Less felt recoil: M&P 40 fs or XDm 40?

Trying to narrow this down, so it's not just a huge free for all like my last thread!

I've fired the M&P, but don't have access to an XDm prior to purchase. The high bore-axis of the XDm is not a problem for me, as I usually shoot Sigs. Not concerned about recoil per-se, but want the one I can get back on target the fastest.

So, anyone shot both of these and can let me know how the XDm compares? Thanks in advance.

I think you answered your own question :)
Speak softly, and carry a big stick.

I have shot both. The XDm is heavier but for me with larger hands the M&p felt easier to get back on line.

I may have, actually, now that you've made me look at it. Funny what you don't notice until it's down in front of you, eh? Thank you for that.

I own a handful of M&P's, one is my EDC. That being said, I preferred the felt recoil and seemed to be able to reacquire targets with the XD more quickly. I woul d go to a local range and try to shoot both in the same session to see what you like. They are both great guns.

I have never shot an XDm but I do have a XD40 that was originally bought for my EDC...

I carried a M&P40 or 40c before I moved into the occupied territory.

The XD is nice... but the M&P's are nicer... I don't think even a XDm will get me to replace my M&P.

the m&p has far less muzzle flip. felt recoil is largely the same, being only slightly less with the xd.
