Only 36rds fired today. Six rounds from each of six different magazines. Two magazines had one type of ammo used, whereas each of the other four magazines had mixed combinations. The mixed combinations didn't seem to affect things.
What brand ammunition were you using?

In this P380, I have used a variety of different brands/types of cartridges:

    • Remington UMC L380AP "green box" FMJ 95gr -- 1 FTC; 1 FTE.
    • Magtech First Defense FD380A JHP 77gr.
    • Federal American Eagle AE380AP FMJ 95gr -- 1 FTE.
    • Corbon Pow'RBall JHP 70gr -- 1 FTE.
    • DoubleTap Controlled Expansion JHP 95gr -- 2 LPS.
    • Speer Gold Dot JHP 90gr.

The only thing that occasionally has survived an entire magazine full (6rds) without a problem has been the Magtech FD380A JHP. In every other instance where I have tried a magazine full of a single type of ammo, at least one cartridge in that mag experienced a jam or some sort.

Today, the ones in the above list showing numbers to the right are the ammo that experienced failure to chamber (1), failure to extract (3) or light primer strikes (2).

It's time to head to the gun stores, again, to seek out other varieties of ammo, since I am about done with my existing stores of varieties. I have lots of ammo left, just none that are new and untried in this specific P380.

    Suggestions, anyone?? I'm all ears.
