You know for a collectible piece, that's a cool finish.

If I was buying one for myself, I like the P238 Equinox and switch the Blackwood grips to the Rosewood grips.

Either way, your wife got a fine pistol.

I love pretty colors, like blue and stainless and nickel.
But hey if she likes the rainbow finish and will carry it, then it is the most beautiful gun in the world

As a female here I'll go ahead and say no thanks.
The last thing I want is a rainbow or pink gun. Black n Silver or something similar will do just fine thanks.
But thats just me. Im not the most 'girly' girl for sure!
Very glad for your wife though. Always good to get a new gun ya want!

My wife must be a bit fickle. Her current primary EDC is the same color that Henry Ford preferred... Black!

Colour, finish or style really doesn't matter as long as it's functional and she will like and if need be, use it. When it's all boiled down, you purchased something for her that will be loved and well taken care of. Everyone has different likes, tastes and wants, you did just fine.

Very nice! I'm not crazy about the rainbow finish, but I'm not the one you bought it for! My girlfriend liked the Sig P238 so it's on her short list. I'm just not crazy about the .380 availability right now.

I'm glad she found something she likes, but i'm a little hesitant about calling a handgun a "fashion statement"

Maybe the colors will distract the BG before she shoots.

+1 If I can ever talk my GF into carrying I've already been informed it'll be a Pink Charter Arms .38 "because it's cute"

BTW- I showed her and the rainbow pattern didn't convince her.

I think it's cool that manufacturers are willing to try the different things, even though I'm fine with the plain old black, or the OD/black or tan/black, if they can make the styles that get more responsible people willing to carry then that's a good thing in my book.

Beautiful!! I love it. It's sort of the opposite of the holsters with flames and skulls - those are artistic and neat but I don't want one. I'll take the Happy Rainbow Gun.
