RUGER LCP with Crimson Trace Grips **Accuracy Test** My 2 videos
I'd like to demonstrate the accuracy potential of the Ruger LCP w/ Crimson Trace Laser Grips. (and 13# wolf recoil spring)
Keep in mind, I am shooting from the hip with my right hand, while holding my Iphone and watching the screen in the left hand. So it takes me a few seconds longer to acquire the target through my iphone. Had I been able to hold the small LCP with both hands and acquire the target with my own eyes, it would be MUCH faster.
Regardless, I think this video illustrates the accuracy and easy point of aim of this setup. And is a great option for deep concealment and self defense in close quarter or low light situations.
Thanks and be safe!

They are accurate little buggers! I love mine. No crimson trace laser though, but I'm impressed with your test videos. May have to look into one.

Most defensive guns are more accurate than the people shooting them.

I found the same thing when I added CT grips to both my 2" M36 and 3" M60. The M36 goes from "all over the map" to sub-2" groups at 30'.
Gotta love that! I never really considered laser grips as a serious tool, just thought that they were another expensive gimmick. Well, not really a gimmick, I just didn't think that I had much use for one. But then I tried dry firing a used gun at Gander Mt. and thought that it might be worth further testing. As I like to dry fire practice a lot with my revolvers, I found that they are a great tool and not for that reason alone, I really have improved my trigger control. The rest is history.
Good shootin'. Thanks for the videos.

Was it this way right out of the box or did you have to adjust it to get it like this? I am going to get the laser for mine soon too!

I've had experience with 3 Crimson Trace products.
Kahr PM9 with Crimson Trace LG-437: Accurate at 25'/50' right out of the box. No adjustment necessary.
Kahr P380 with Crimson Trace LG-433: The laser was high and to the right about 3" out of the box. I was able to adjust it in 5 minutes to be accurate at 25'/50'.
Ruger LCP with Crimson Trace LG-431: I could not adjust the original laser accurately. No matter how much I adjusted it, it would shoot low about 10" to the left. I called Crimson Trace and they immediately sent out a replacement unit. The replacement unit was low and to the left about 3" out of the box. I was able to adjust it in 5 minutes to be accurate at 25'/50'.
Overall, I've had very positive experiences with the CT. No complaints on my end, but I do hate cleaning the lens after a range session.

Q tip and rubbing alcohol - takes only a few seconds. Or, just use the swab that comes with the laser.

I installed my CT grip right out of the box and never adjusted anything? Maybe a fluke? I don't know but I want one for all my handguns now, lol.

Good shooting... I bought my LCP a few weeks ago but haven't fired it yet. Now I'm pumped. What holster are you using? I use a Stoner back pocket holster. I have carried it several times and sometimes forget the little guy is in my pocket.
