    That is a handsome Revolver. The bluing was hand polished from the factory. I would only use GunZillia if anything on it. That Snubbie is the exact same size as the Detective Special. It was very light weight for its time and held 6 rounds. It was the concealed carry gun of it day. It reminds me of the 50's TV shows San Francisco Beat and Dragnet.

    That gun will appreciate in value. You can carry it concealed but +P is not recommended. Apparently 1,000 or more rounds of +P can stretch the frame.

    If we are talking about a little surface rust, the best way to remove is to flood the surface with gun oil, let sit a little while, then use the edge of a pre-1980 copper penny to scrape rust off---usually works perfect without damaging blued finish---don't use steel wool or other harsh things you will only damage the blued surface.
