Bought my first CCW, sr9c. I get to fire it this weekend for the first time. I wanna put a couple hundred thru it before I start carrying. Thinking of getting the supertuck. Any other good IWB ideas?
Any other thoughts are welcomed.

First of all, welcome to the board. Ruger makes a good pistol and I'm sure you will be happy with it. If not then there are lots of different opinions on others you "should" buy...lol
Please post of a range report once you've had a chance to get out and shoot it.
Will do. I'll be at the range Friday and Saturday. Will be my first time besides my CCW class. I've field stripped the gun 100 times and become very familiar with it.
Now to put a couple hundred down the pipe.
I can see I'm already gonna be addicted though, already planning out my next purchase haha.
I debated between the 709 slim and the sr9c for a couple weeks then went with ruger. Hopefully I made a good choice.
Great choice! i like the SR9C better then the PT 709 slim. i fondled both guns the SR9C feels better in the hand and it feels more expensive to , the Taurus feels like a Kel-Tec in my hand.
let us know how the range report goes !
Bushmaster XM15 E2S Shorty
Remington 870 Express 12 gauge
Ruger SR9
Romanian WASR GP 10/63
RIA M1911 A1
Savage Model 62 .22lr
Glad to hear it's a decent choice. I thought so as well. My next one will prob be a more expensive sig, glock, or kahr most likely. But I gotta get my little love affair with my ruger going.
I have an SR9c (which I love) and should be getting my Kholster in within a week. I'll post back with my opinion on it once I get it. It seemed like a reasonable alternative to a CBST or MTAC at half the price.
Welcome to the forum and to concealed carry. I carry a GLOCK 19 (you don't have one yet but you will, the kool-aid is extra sweet) in a Crossbreed Supertuck with a Crossbreed belt everyday and I'm 125% satisfied! A good belt is almost more important than the holster.

haha, one day, one day. I have smaller hands and the current glocks are a lil wide for my liking, for CCW anyways. That's why I enjoy the sr9c, only .9" thick (all the 1.24" you read are from outside of the manual safety, to outside of the opposite manual safety).
I'm sure I'll own a glock one day though haha.
First welcome. Nice choice...they shoot and feel well.
Go with a kholster or a CBST.
SA XD9SC...13+1 is hard to beat!
I have had a full size sr9 for about 9 months now, I don't know if the sr9c is prone to the same issue but it took about 300 round before it would run reliability. I would get a failure to feed about 1 in every 17. I stripped it and cleaned it. Put another 100 threw, stripped it cleaned it, ect. But after about 300 rounds and three really good cleanings, haven't had a single failure in 700+ rounds. Really love the gun and I would trust my life on it going bang every time now. Just something to keep in mind.
Let us know your experience carrying the sr9c, I am strongly considering picking one up.
