I have the SIG P250 2sum in 9mm and the Compact in 9mm. I find it to be a very good system, you are going to read about people who don't like it because it had early issues and that the trigger is very long. You shouldn't have any safety issues carrying it with a round in the chamber.

been carrying it for over a year now - always with one in the chamber. Still love it, and I love that it stands up to (potential cosmetic) abuse without making me cringe (as much) as I do when I carry my tricked out Sigs

    Love it

Being a 1911, Glock and XD guy I wondered about the DAO trigger. It is long but it is not a bad trigger. I bought a .40 2Sum for my wife and she loves it. I will probably have a short trigger installed but the current one is more than livable. This gun is dirt simple and shoots great. It also feels good in my hand. I have read quite a bit of criticism about the trigger in other forums. Well, it's not a tuned Kimber 1911 nor is it trying to be. But I took the gun straight out of the case and fired a 98% on a standard police range the first time that I ever fired it. My wife fired 90% in full size mode and 95% in sub-compact. I had no problem putting a full mag into the 10X ring of a B27 target at 50 yards with the gun. It is that easy to shoot. People have different opinions about guns. My dad was a cop for 35 years and never carried a semi-auto. He hates them; he calls them all kinds of names and believe that the Glock is a piece of junk. The only semi-auto I ever heard him say a good word about was the P226.

This is an excellent pistol and a very interesting design. Sig has a winner and the pistol in .357 compact has been adopted by the US Air Marshall service.

Uh... no. They evaluated it, and passed.

    As did the ATF.

    And the Dutch government.

Suggest you hunt up the numerous threads regarding this on the Sig Forum; its interesting reading.

I thought the FAM's were still carrying HK USP compact LEM's in 357.

FAMs carry Sig P229 or P239 (their choice) in .357 Sig.

FFDOs (Federal Flight Deck Officer- aka armed airline pilots) are issued HK USP Compacts (with LEM trigger) in .40 S&W.
