NICE!!!
You will LOVE that gun. I think I might skip the polishing, however. Chances are it will be 100% reliable, don't fix it if it ain't broke.
YMMV

Beautiful.
I never get those kind of deals. I've accepted that it's my purpose in life the be one of the schmucks that pays retail for everything.

Well the guy I bought it from told me that it will get occasional FTF issues after 150 rounds or so, but that a cleaning solves the issue. So I am just going to polish the feed ramp smooth and clean it really well.
I am SOOOOOOOO tempted to clean it tonight and carry it tomorrow.

Congrats! A most beautiful 1911!
Not sure about the Pro CDP, by my Pro Carry II has an aluminum frame/feed ramp. From what I have read, it is a BIG No-No to polish that aluminum ramp.

I have raed a fair amount of reputable data on Kimbers pariculary the downsized 1911's for ccw. I understand that a significant anount of FTEm FTF, etc occur in the break in period, about the first 500 rounds, enough so that it occasionally needs "corrections" "adjustments" at the factory. I am deciding on whether or not to buy a Kimber aegis ultra carry 2, but wonder about these claims. I have always heard that their guns are some of the best in the world under $1500 anyway (just a round figure). I know no one pays that much for their CCW Kimber guns. What say ya'll? Mike

Very nice. I think you'll be very pleased with the gun.
My deal with my darlin' bride (this was my third purchase of the year) was that this was the last gun of 2010. Since it was the last one on my list I was happy to oblige! She also didn't say anything about accessories for my AR, which is what I REALLY want after this anyway.
Hmmm, I guess you'll have to credit the next purchase against 2011 and so on.
