    Chris-
I have a BSA Martini Mark V; I can understand how you miss your Mark II. My most regretted was a 1911A1, my first .45. Shot tight groups until you cleaned it, then took about 6 sessions before the "accuracy" came back.

kast - I did out of interest research finding another - and found a site which I forget right now - where the guy was dealing almost exclusively in these.

As I had ceased active competition shooting with .22 rifle tho I could not justify something like $650!!!

Oh well - survive on good memories and hope someone somewhere (tho that was way back in 1981) - is still enjoying the heck out of it!

    Springfield XD

Sold my Springfield XD as I needed the money to get my Sig P239, which is IMHO easier to conceal for a guy carrying close to 100 extra pounds in the Texas heat.

Never should have sold it. But hey, at least they are common as dirt and I can buy another. And they have that new 45 ACP..........

Maybe everything happens for a reason.

I'd have to say the most painful pistol loss was the Rem-Rand 1911a1 that was in about 90%-95% cond. I was young and stupid and regret it to this day, and it's been 12 yrs.

a cheaply purchased Llama 1911 built in the 50's in 9x23 cal. Which I converted into .38 super. I have never shot anything else so smooth (with personality you get from such a used semi-auto).
    a 3" ss taurus 941 .22 mag.
a 8" smith 629 (I could shoot a gnat off a dogs butt with that one)
an old Savage model 99 in .308

1911 Colt Mk IV Series 70, bought new in late 1970s. Sold it ~2002 after it sat in my safe all those years. Only in 2004 did I learn why I couldn't shoot it worth a damn . . . small hands and trigger was too long. A $15 solution would have solved that problem, but I didn't know it until it was long gone!

Sold it to a fellow eList member who collects 1911s, so I know it's got a good home at least.

Bought a S&W 1911 in late 2004, put short trigger in it and it is now one of my favorite guns.

[BTW, I recall an identical thread perhaps mid-2005. A Mod may want to check and merge the two threads if I am correct.]

I traded off a Browning HP about 20 yrs ago and have been kicking myself ever since. It was one of the two best handguns I ever owned. I may be real close to replacing the loss with a FN HP in .40 S&W. I'll let you all know if I do.

I don't sell any firearm once I buy it unless I can not get it to run or function properly. That is the reason I have to have three large gun safes. My father told me at an early age, "Don't sell a gun, you'll always regret it". I live by that rule.

Springfield Armory V10. In a pinch and needed the cash. Sold it to a friend who agreed to sell it back to me if he decided to offload it and then sold it to someone else.
    Really miss that pistol.

Erma KGP68A .380 that was one sweet little pistol. Imagine a 3\4 scale Luger P08.
