Took a few guns to the range yesterday...

    Took out my PM9, CW9 and P9

I shot the P9 first since it was the newest gun to my collection. This was an older P9 that had been somewhat neglected showing light rust and significant holster wear. It has older Trijicon night sights that I will eventually change. Trigger felt great and I've decided to make this gun a pet project and do some experimentation on the frame and slide. I still need more time behind the trigger to tighten my groups.

Next was a PM9 I bought the used a month ago. Yesterday I hit the 200rnd mark and put a couple of different types of CD ammo. As expected it shot everything well. It is now ready to be added to my carry rotation.

Last but not least was a CW9 with a ported barrel. I have to be honest, by the time I got to shooting this one I was fatigued and should have taken more of a break between sessions. All my shots were low and to the right except when I really concentrated and took my time. Then I was hitting POA. The jury is still out on if the ported barrel makes a big enough difference.

    Here's the after party...

I also struck gold at Walmart yesterday. After my trip to the range I was looking to replenish my 9mm stock. Apparently I've been spending too much time there because I was almost out.

There I was met with a very pleasant surprise. They had Federal Premium .45acp $15.97 for a box of 50. I took all they would give me, 6 boxes per customer per day. I will be back today to pick up all I can.

I did a Kahr Range day myself, shooting my two newest models, a K9 and TP9. I shoot these two about the same. You'd think the heavier K would be softer recoling than the light TP, but that's really not the case. I like them both the same.

I'd like to hear more about the ported barrel. They're something I don't see much use for except in big bore, harsh recoiling guns, but I'd like the hear your impressions and opinions of barrel.

Little tip: They say 6 per day, but if you go in the morning, then back after work, you'll get different employees. I've made 2-3 trips in the same day before. (I work less than a quarter mile from one.)

Thanks for the report and posting the pics. Looks like some pretty good shooting. Kahrs seem like really nice pistols. I've never had one, but they appear to be very well made from my examination of them in the gun shop.

Keep up the good shooting and working with the weapons. Glad to see folks cleaning their weapons as soon as they get home from the range. That's actually part of the experience I enjoy. Evaluating the affect on the gun from the inside out.

That's a Bushmaster M4-A3. I've spiced it up a little and added a free-floating quadrail, Aimpoint scope and Magpul mags for starters.
