Kahr PM9.... smaller than the KT PF9, much, much smoother trigger

then... the CW9 is a lot less expensive, and only slightly larger than the KT PF9, and still, a much, much better trigger (also night sights available for the CW)

You might want a manual safety if you go with a lighter, shorter trigger. Taurus has one that is striker fired with a manual saftey the "709 slim". but i think that they are still working the bugs out on that one, from what i have read.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
    1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man

not to concerned with having a safety as long as its in a holster.

The PM9 sounds exactly like what you need...or a Rohrbbaugh R9

Kahr P380 if you can live with .380 but it does sound like the PM9 is perfect for you.

Kahr PM9, is what you need, a great small semiauto. Its more expensive of course than a KT but its far far more gun and well worth the funds.

Look at the Taurus 709 Slim. It's closer to the price range of the Kel Tec than the Kahrs. Mine has been faultless out of the box. It's trigger is a little different than the PF9, I think, (my PF9 seldom works and is on it's way to Kel Tec so I don't remember the trigger too well.) But the Slim's trigger is very light and even the second strike is extremely light.

Pic's showing the even smaller PM9 vs. Keltec, then P380 vs PM9

The PM9 is shorter than the PF9, but the PF9 is thinner and lighter.
