    I have a dream

OK, time to dream big! It’s four years from now, the Congress and White House are pro-economy and pro-gun. So, you have the right to open carry pretty much anywhere and the money to buy expensive guns.

Here’s the question: If you were going to buy a “dress gun” to go to special events (or just wear to the office with your suit – or whatever), which gun would you wear? Remember, it’s just like wearing your favorite boots or jacket or hat – you like wearing it because it’s nice looking and comfortable.

Post pics of guns, holsters, or both. Mine would be a Stainless Colt 1911 with checkered walnut grips in a brown leather hip holster.

Tough choice but something from Chuck Rogers wrapped in something special from Pure Kustom. Can't think of a more attractive pairing.

    A Glock.

    Yup. A Glock.

I love this thread, but after thinking about it, I'd feel mighty silly with my pretty chrome-plated thingy with a stove pipe sticking out the top and the magazine laying on the ground.

Nothing I wouldn't own and carry right here and now.

That's a good one, I would feel the same way! Let's say, for the sake of the question, that since you like the gun it always goes "Bang!" - otherwise, you wouldn't like it, would you?

If I did OC more, I would probably be carrying a full size 1911 and would probably pic a color and grips that i liked, but not to be fancy, only b/c i liked it.

    A semiauto and a revolver...

I might open carry a .40 Sig P229 in a Kramer belt scabbard holster, or possibly a S&W 686 snubby in a PWL pancake holster.

Me I would carry a 4" Colt python in Colt royal blue or nickel. I would also have real ivory grips on her,and wrap her in something from milt sparks probably their PMK rig.

I would also have matching belt and double speed loader case as well to conplete the setup.

Nothin' sexier looking than a nice 1911, for a show piece it would be great. But I'd never be far from my GLOCK 19.

I’m waiting delivery of a Milt Sparks PMK holster right now. Yeah, they're a getting a bit tired of me changing the details on the order, but that's the trade-off of it taking 6+ months to build it. Anyway, my dinner gun will likely be the one I’ve been tweaking for the past six-months. It’s my S&W 640-3 which I may add a factory 'bright polish' and some sort of designer grips. Conversely, I just may go full-function and apply the Robar NP3+ 'finish' with a set of Crimson Trace LG-305 grips. Either way, it’s an expensive upgrade from what I already spent. Man, I can't believe I still have one more gun in the oven.

My next hobby is going to be 'paying bills'...

    Saber,
be sure to take a picture of it while it's cooling on the counter. It sounds like a beauty!
