    For those that carry

how many OC if they have a CCW? I was reading another thread were most kind of poo pooed OCing and I wanted to know who OC and who don't. I know that there are a few LEOs. For those, when your off duty, how do you guys carry?

Read the poll questions carefully, the vote my sound the same but it isn't.

Mods, I really didn't know were to put this type of thread so I put it here. Move if you guys feel this is the wrong spot of it.

Most of the time I conceal. Don't get the looks, confrontations, and have the tactical advantage. If I'm out hiking a trail and don't run into many people, I'll open carry. But around town...mostly CC.

Poll? Anyway, I live in Arizona where freedom still means something. I see OC occasionally and when I do, I don't see anybody getting all concerned with it. For me, I don't OC. However, I do wear OWB at times and its sorta obvious, even with my unbuttoned over shirt. But again, nobody seems to care.

I CC almost always. I live in Las Vegas and I do quite a bit of work on the strip and the Las Vegas Metro is not very fond of open carry on the strip. Any where else in town they are fine but the will hassle you on the strip

Yikes, I'm the only one who voted Open Carry.
I open carry 95% of the time. Only places I conceal are, church, bar, well that's about it.

I have a Delaware CCDW (Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon, it covers hand guns, or anything else you wish to carry that could be lethal, no machine guns), and carry concealed most of the time. I would like to keep the element of surprise for as long as possible, should I need to use my weapon for self-defense. I open carried for most of my LEO career, and have no problem with it. Delaware is an open carry State, you do not need a permit to open carry in Delaware, and your weapon can be loaded while carrying. I don't understand States that allow open carry, but do not let you have the weapon loaded, kind of dumb to me.

I don't carry openly except on our own rural property or on deer leases. I prefer to carry concealed publicly. Texas has no provision for open carry in public but I would not take advantage of open carry if it became legal.

I always conceal carry. I would not likely open carry even if it were legal in Florida.

I conceal carry 100% of the time. Occasionally it's only with a pocket carry if I just go to the corner store, but that's rare.

    Concealed 99% of the time.

It's my personal choice to keep my carrying nobody's business. I do openly carry every once in awhile......usually out of convenience and/or laziness, not to make a statement, even though it does.

I'm not there yet, but when I get my permit, I'll carry concealed. To me, open carry just guarantees that if bullets start flying somewhere, the first ones will probably come in your direction.
